In Lauren’s final year at the Alberta School of Business, she wants to give back to something she feels very passionate about – that being NEW. Over the course of her degree she has been very fortunate to have opportunities like being in the third cohort of the Leadership Certificate Program, travelling to Washington for a case competition, and being the VP Finance for both the SMO Club and the Alberta International Business Competition. She also is a part of the Cooperative education program and has worked at EY and MNP. These different initiatives and roles have given her the ability to grow as a person and learn more about what makes this world tick. She is truly grateful and ecstatic for her next endeavour, being on the Public Relations team for NEW.
Lauren is a self-proclaimed comedian, and loves animals. She really doesn’t understand people who don’t love animals and people who don’t find her funny. She is so pumped to be on the Network of Empowered Women’s team and work with an amazing set of individuals, as well as, YOU the delegates!! Lauren loves going for coffee and London Fogs, and talking about really important things, therefore don’t be shy to email her if you want to learn more about the conference!
Lindsay is a fourth year Business co-op student majoring in Natural Resources, Energy and the Environment and minoring in Human Resources Management. Lindsay has wanted to join the NEW team ever since she met the team at club’s fair in her first year of business, and is ecstatic to be joining as the Public Relations Director. Her goal for the NEW Conference 2017 is to broaden the reach among disciplines, and have delegates attend from diverse faculties. Throughout the course of her academic career, she has been involved in the Debate Society, the CEYC Engagement committee, AIESEC, and the University of Alberta Human Resources Management Association.
When not studying in the library, you can find Lindsay running along the river valley, curled up with a good book, or feeding her online shopping addiction. Past graduation, Lindsay hopes to travel to South America, Africa and Asia, before entering the corporate world. Lindsay is beyond excited to work amongst talented and passionate individuals, and looks forward to creating the best conference yet.
